. Born in Uttar Pradesh, Kuldeep Yadav drew a fascination for cricket from a very young age. Watching the likes of Wasim Akram and Zaheer Khan in his early days, Kuldeep Yadav wanted to represent Indian as a left-arm seamer.
He started watching videos of Shane Warne and learnt the art of spinning the ball and different kinds of variations necessary to fox the batsman.
“I keep watching videos of Warne. His grip of the ball, length of deliveries and use of the crease are unbeatable. I try to learn from the footage,”— Kuldeep Yadav talks about his idol Shane Warne in an interview.
Gradually, Kuldeep rose through the ranks and kept improving his art and thereby made a name in age-group cricket.Disappointed with not getting selected, Kuldeep even try committed suicide.
Excellent performances in different tournament meant he was included in India’s 19 team for the 214 under-19 World Cup.
214 UNDER-19WORLD CUP:
214 under-19 World Cup proved to be the turning point of his career as he ended the tournament as the highest wicket-taker. He set the tournament alight with his brilliant left-arm spin bowling.
216 DULEEP TROPHY:
The china man ended the tournament with 17 wickets in three matches and played a major role in leading his side to the final of the tournament – a commendable feat for an alleged rookie.
INTERNATIONAL CAREER:
He made his debut in Test cricket against Australia in 217. He picked four wickets in his debut game and helped Indian win the fourth test and thereby the series.
Kuldeep Yadav made his one-day international debut against West Indies in 217. He completely bamboozled the batting line up as he ended up as the joint highest wicket-taker in the series.
